A small hydropower plant in challenging mountain terrain — a major contribution to energy security
Project history
The story of Boz-Uchuk HPP began in 2022, when a group of like-minded people, united by a shared vision for developing renewable energy in the Kyrgyz Republic, founded Ananyevo HPP LLC.
The company's first and most significant project was the Boz-Uchuk small hydropower plant, created to provide the region with clean and sustainable electricity. After the necessary studies, design work and approvals, construction of the plant began in 2024.
The project was carried out under challenging mountain conditions and required close coordination between engineers, builders, equipment suppliers and local specialists. Thanks to the team's professionalism and the support of partners, construction was fully completed by May 2025, and the plant was successfully commissioned.
Today, the 5.4 MW Boz-Uchuk HPP generates around 25 million kWh of clean electricity every year, contributing to the energy security of the Kyrgyz Republic, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and supporting the region's sustainable development.
The project marked not only the first step for Ananyevo HPP LLC, but also an example of how the power of mountain rivers can serve people, creating a reliable and environmentally responsible future for generations to come.
